Spring is coming and so is the Festival!

There are 101 days remaining until the XVI Latvian Song and Dance Festival in the United States. On March 20, we celebrated the arrival of spring at the Grand Rapids Latvian Association and held the third informational Town Hall, where representatives of the festival board and members of the organizing committee shared the latest key updates:

We need your help!

Amongst our biggest announcements is that we have released signups for all of our volunteer opportunities. We have many positions to fill, and your help makes the Festival possible! No large event is possible without volunteers. According to current estimates, we will need more than 190. Any time that you can lend is tremendously appreciated: Link to SignUpGenius. All signups will be followed up with detailed instructions about the role.

Tickets and Rokvakars

Preparations for the festival concerts and events are in full swing. Tickets are still available for all concerts and events. They can be purchased through ticketing platforms, with links available on the festival website: www.dziesmusvetki.us. Tickets to Rokvakars (including information for free kids tickets) will be coming soon.

You can also stay informed about other updates by following the website or our social media.

Vadonis

It is important to remember that the festival guide “Vadonis” (which will also be available in digital format in the festival app) is available for pre-order from now until May 15. You will be able to pick up your ordered copy during the festival. There will be no paper programs at events - your Vadonis will have all programs in it! More detailed information is available here: https://www.dziesmusvetki.us/vadonis

Once again, thank you to the wonderful Grand Rapids community for their interest, warm hospitality, and delicious dinner!
